I stopped celebrating Xmas 5 Xmases ago but this year was exceptional. I was in my hometown, with both my parents in the house I grew up in and my siblings also came along all the way from France. Maman took a week off so we could actually see her! We hadn't been all together in over 10 years! We cherished every moment and had the time of our lives, traveling around, talking, making plans, hugging, pretending not to enjoy these hugs (guilty ✋?), singing, swimming, being silly... These past 3 weeks were a genuine Xmas movie with happy endings. Now my siblings are back to France, Maman is back to work (7.30am-10pm no break), Papa is off to yet another business trip and I am back to black, alone again in this beautiful house full of the happiest memories. • ?: 2017's @vamuseum Christmas tree was a singing tree conceived by set designer @esdevlin. The tree was brought to life via machine learning and thousands of words collected from the public. Throughout the Christmas season, visitors were invited to contribute a festive word, which would be transformed into an audio-visual carol that illuminated the tree, accompanied by an interactive choir of human and synthesised voices.
